bone of my bones.jpg

Story I have
never told,
starts with
the urge I
felt was
my soul famished,
dry, tasty, from the
drought water
couldn’t quench,
my bones hurt,
until my spirit
spoke to my
flesh in a whisper,
I seek my bone,
the bone of my bones,
my missing rib,
the day she
emerges, filling me
with her presence,
I will be satisfied
and whole,
only then I knew
it was all real.
